Those of you who struggling with the impending doom of computers taking over. I am hoping that this match report will allay those fears. Below you will see a cartoon strip of the exciting moments from Sunday’s game. Produced by Artificial Intelligence. As you can hopefully see, it still has a long way to go before we are replacing the artistic talents of the likes of Jake.
Smokin Joe’s outburst of ‘He’s Done’ when running out their last batting hope, yes that is the AI’s depiction of a wicketkeeper:

Terry’s one handed catch (attempt) at extra cover, no I am not entirely sure where the helmet has come from either:

Ben’s throw to cause the above runout and Joe’s outburst, I fear the AI has misconstrued the meaning of a great throw here…:

On a day for the batsmen, with boundaries being hit to all parts (39 fours & 14 sixes in TMG’s innings alone) the next image is for any who were fortunate to bat on that small ground. Feel free to picture yourself captured below:

Conversely on a tricky day in the field. It often felt as though more than one ball was being hit in our direction. I believe the below image really captures our efforts around the ground:

Finally due to it being banned from the group-chat under questionable circumstances. The AI had a great go at recreating a more family friendly version (I think…?) of EO’s conversation over the teas:

A great day out and worth saying that our performance was better than the AI’s. Don’t F**K With The Mighty Greys!
Statto’s report
Record breaking stats II…
What can you say about Tom Nicholls: 3rd game for the Greys; 3rd PSM; 2nd all-time batting record smashed – this time the highest individual score previously held by Del with 167 – Tom posted 194* off 101 balls (and, yes, Terry he did get to 100 faster than you). As part of his innings he featured in this seasons highest 6th wicket partnership with QB – they added 84 – QB got 11.
Elsewhere in the batting, at the top of the table, Biff’s first duck of the season allowed Dom to close up to within 2 runs. But they must both be hoping Tom doesn’t bat too many more times this season as with an average of 263 and a strike rate of 194 he looks odds on to cruise past both of them to take the trophy.
In the bowling, on a batters day, not a lot going on. Everyone’s figures took a bit of a battering – the skipper took a particular pummelling going for 49 off 3 – brutal!
Not much to report in the lifetimes other than 194 not out but I think I’ve already mentioned that.
Next week it’s a Bank Holiday and we’re off to that traditional holiday destination, Hailsham…

great Terry pic & a whole lotta fun in general
AI has got Terry down. Questionable in other areas. Top work Tommy
