Hallo, so here we are at Isfield to play W G Gracefully in the glorious Sussex country side, home of the Isley brothers ( fake news) the M G’s won the toss and elected to bat. Up steps the skip an jerry to open.

A promising start apart from biffalini getting out for a duck but hey ho up steps the majestic koala bear we call Dell to add a wonderful 77 ( refer to score book for other stats ta) Ian ( wiggo) played some nice strokes but was unfortunately run out and jerry did well to get closer to 7000 runs before we sell him as a sex slave in the Middle East but had a good knock! Boom boom yours truly didn’t need to bat as we managed 190 something in the 40 overs.tmgs-wgg-gracefully-aug2017[2]tmgs-wgg-gracefully-aug2017[17]
Feeling confidant we took to the field to have a go..it was a good start keeping run rate at bay with Newland and Gallagher (Gilbert an George) bowling tight enough.
Unfortunately the W G batsman got there eyes in, opened there legs and showed there class. Change of bowler (me) and later joined by Ashton tried are best but got a bit slogged and felt the tied turning…tmgs-wgg-gracefully-aug2017[8]
I managed to bowl a beute and middle stumped a danger man but after the party normal service resumed and in came another W G ringer to piss on our fireworks… Bollocks they continued to twat Terry and all to reach target with 9 overs to spare.
Still we did have a nice tea although a bit pricey and the early eve sun was welcome ( but not the ball that pole axed my knee!) and had a nice pint in the Laughing Fish pub near the Lavender line among the nice gloating company of W G Gracefully. Ta ta Ricky.
