On Sunday I reached 10,000 runs for the Greys and we enjoyed a great day’s cricket beating a strong Bodle St side in the last over. Ale was taken, a scrumptious tea was scoffed, Greys both seasoned and fresh returned to the fold and it was generally marvellous to be alive.
Back at work I wrestled a massive tarpaulin from the garden into the back of the truck first thing. Twenty minutes into my journey I felt something behind my ear, put my hand up and there was a slug on my neck.
Life is like a Luppitt wicket, bit up and down.
Now I must sleep for tomorrow we tour.

Statto’s report
Brace yourselves stats fans this is not a statistically insignificant week… Let’s start with congratulations to Greys pugnacious opener Biff (don’t fluff yer) Line(s) who top scored this week (58) which is his highest for the season and took him over the impressive milestone of 10,000 lifetime runs… Well done mate. Elsewhere in the batting Dom also got fifty so it stays tight at the top of the table. Over in the bowling season’s best figures for both Chris and Dom, both getting 4 for 17, like the symmetry…and Dom has closed DD’s lead to only 4. In the lifetimes (at the risk of making this the Dom show) he picks off Greys legend and ground dwelling bird Richie P to move to 6th in the bowling.
Next week…TOUR…look out Devon and make sure there’s a handy defibrillator…it’s old men on acid time…
